What is a HP Printer?
A HP printer is a device that prints documents, photos, and other files from digital sources. Some models can also print from removable media, such as memory cards. Printers come in all shapes and sizes, with prices ranging from around $50 to well over $1,000.
To print on paper using a HP printer, first make sure the printer is connected to your computer and the power is turned on. Open the document you want to print and select the “Print” option from the menu bar. If the document is already selected for printing, simply click on the “Print” button to begin the process.
To add paper to your printer, locate the paper tray and pull it out until it stops. Slide new paper into the tray and push it back into place. The printer should now start printing on the new sheet of paper.

Tip 1: Fan the paper
Before loading, the paper should be fanned out (see picture).
Paper usually has a front and a back side, the front side should be printed first. Due to the production process, paper has a pretension. If the paper is inserted into the device the wrong way round and thus fed through the device incorrectly, this pretension can create a curl.
Tip 2: Align paper edges
The paper should lie evenly in the stack, no sheets should protrude at the sides.
Tip 3: Print on the front first

Most papers have an arrow printed on the packaging, with the arrowhead pointing toward the front.

Tip 4: Note the paper stops in the paper tray
When inserting it into the paper compartment, the paper must be pushed flush against the fixed stops. The movable paper stops must be flush with the paper, readjust if necessary.
If the movable stops are set correctly and snapped in, they do not have to / should not be changed. The paper can then simply be inserted.
Tip 5: Observe the maximum stack height
The paper must not be higher than the maximum stack height of the respective paper tray or paper feed. The maximum stack height can be seen from markings in the paper compartment, as shown in the adjacent image. Here the stack of paper must not be higher than the top line (see the following photo).
